Key differences explained
Depth vs. breadth
Jotform is a general-purpose form builder that connects to 150+ apps, including Airtable. This makes it versatile but means Airtable support is shallow. Filla is built exclusively for Airtable, which enables deep integration with Airtable-specific features like linked records, formulas, and lookups.
Field mapping friction
With Jotform, you build a form with generic fields, then manually map each field to an Airtable column. If you add a field in Airtable, you have to update the form and remapping separately. Filla reads your Airtable schema and auto-generates form fields. Add a column in Airtable, and it's instantly available in your form.
Linked records and relationships
Jotform has no concept of linked records. You can't select from related tables or display relationship data. Filla treats linked records as first-class citizens with searchable dropdowns, filtering, and the ability to create new linked records inline.
Formula and lookup fields
Filla can display values from Airtable formula fields (calculated prices, totals, etc.) and lookup fields (related data from other tables). Jotform can't access these Airtable-specific field types.
Payment processing
Jotform has built-in payment processing with Stripe, PayPal, Square, and 30+ payment gateways. If accepting payments is your primary use case, Jotform is stronger here. Filla focuses on data collection and Airtable workflows.
