The comments feed widget shows a threaded list of comments from the Airtable record on your form. This is useful for edit-mode and portal forms where team members need to discuss a record while reviewing or updating it.

When to use the comments feed

  • Approval workflows where reviewers leave notes on a submission
  • Internal portal forms where team members discuss a record
  • Client-facing forms where back-and-forth communication is needed on a record
  • Any edit-mode form where context from previous discussions matters

Comments are pulled from the Airtable record’s comment thread. This widget only works when the form is in edit mode with a specific record loaded.

How it works

1

Add the comments feed widget

Drag the Comments feed widget from the palette onto your form page.
2

Configure display settings

Set the maximum number of comments to show and the sort order.
3

Respondent sees comments

When a respondent opens the form with a record ID, the widget loads and displays comments from that record’s Airtable comment thread.
