The signature widget adds a signature pad to your form. Respondents can draw a signature with their mouse or finger, or type their name to generate a styled signature. The result is saved as an image attachment in your Airtable table.

When to use signatures

  • Contracts and agreements that need a signature
  • Consent forms for events, programs, or medical intake
  • Delivery confirmation forms
  • Approval workflows where a sign-off is required

How it works

1

Respondent signs

The respondent draws their signature on the pad or types their name, depending on the mode you chose.
2

Signature is captured as an image

When the form is submitted, the signature is converted to a PNG image.
3

Image is saved to Airtable

The PNG is uploaded to the attachment field you selected. It appears as a file attachment in the record.
The signature pad works on both desktop (mouse) and mobile (finger or stylus). Draw mode gives the most natural-looking result on touch devices.
