What this does

The file upload field maps to Airtable’s Attachments field type. Respondents can upload one or more files, which are saved directly to the attachment field in your Airtable record.

Restricting to specific extensions

Choose Specific only when you need precise control. Type each extension without the dot (e.g., pdf, not .pdf). Each extension must be added separately. Example: An invoice upload field might restrict to pdf and png only.

File size limits

The Max file size limit applies per file, not per submission total. If a respondent uploads three files, each file is checked individually against the limit. The default limit is 50 MB per file. Airtable itself has its own attachment storage limits based on your Airtable plan.
